Santa in the Pines Combines with The Village Tree Lighting

This year The Village at Castle Pines Homes Association is presenting the Holiday Tree Lighting event in combination with the Santa in the Pines event held at the Village Shops. “The combined event makes it bigger and better for everyone. We think residents will love our new merged event!” Frank Jacobsen, President of the Castle Pines Homes Association Board.

Wanda Ford, coordinating the efforts from presenting sponsor Liv Sotheby’s adds, “The Village Shops and Liv Sotheby’s are looking forward to creating a magical holiday experience for our guests. It’s such a special time of year and this event captures the spirit of the holidays.”

Parking

Main Street of the Village Shops will be closed from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm for the event, so parking is extremely limited.

Village residents are encouraged to park at the Canyon Club and Fitness Center, where van shuttles can take you to the Village Shops drop-off point. Shuttles will run until 6:30.

Overflow parking is available at the Liv Sotheby’s office on Happy Canyon, but shuttles will not be available from this location. 

 

Be Sure to Check Out

  • Santa and Mrs. Claus will be stationed at the Liv Sotheby’s office from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. Pictures with Santa will be available to commemorate the event.
  • The Grinch is back by popular demand! He will be strolling around and enhancing the excitement.
  • The Other Reindeer Carolers, a Dickensian caroling troupe, will serve up the sounds of the season, and Shining Lights Production will provide holiday DJ music. 
  • Once again, the Rudolf’s Treatland game adds to the fun. Follow the map to various participating shops to pick up treats, and at the end of the event, turn the finished game into Liv Sotheby’s and register for prizes!
  • Carriage rides will be offered to enhance the holiday fun.  
  • Don’t forget your fur babies! The Pet Stuff Place will offer holiday pictures of your pets in front of their festive hearth. And if you’re feeling silly, you can dress them up too! 

 

Food and Drinks

The Village Homes Association will be serving free hot cocoa, hot spiced apple cider, roasted nuts, and popcorn in a tent near the Holiday Tree.

Please try to support our local restaurants for your dinner plans. Both Danielle’s Scratch Kitchen and Trestles Coastal Cuisine will be offering a special family menu that evening. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Many shops will be extending their hours for our event. Please support our local shops for your holiday shopping.

The Village Shops restrooms will be open for the duration of the event. They are accessed from the doors between MIYO and Dentistry at Happy Canyon offices on the south side of the center.
