Wildlife

Committee

The Village at Castle Pines Wildlife Committee inspires residents to respect, protect and live harmoniously with wildlife.

Non-urgent questions and concerns about wildlife in the village please email:  Wildlife@thevillage-castlepines.com.   Your question will be answered by a committee member within two business days.

FOR WILDLIFE EMERGENCIES: Urgent issues, such as an injured or aggressive animal should be reported to Emergency Services: 303-688-6447.  Emergency Services collaborates with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Littleton office and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in the event of an emergency. The importance of observing speed limits, staying alert and not be distracted cannot be emphasized enough.

The CPHA Village Wildlife Committee meets monthly on the third Wednesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. at the CPHA conference room. The Committee welcomes residents to attend.

The Wildlife Committee provides current research on the co-existence with and appreciation for the diverse wildlife living in The Village. We invite wildlife experts to present relevant topics to our residents. These presentations are held in the Wildcat Room about three times a year. The committee has a close working relationship with Emergency Services and our Colorado Parks and Wildlife District Manager.
