Residents will receive access and overview documents when they move into the Village. The resident must grant all other guests and contractors access. See below to review the procedures for guest access. As always, you can call the CPHA if you have any questions not outlined here.
The Village at Castle Pines was envisioned as a mountain community with winding “country” roads surrounded by natural landscapes and wooded forests. Parking alongside the roadway is dangerous to other vehicles, a hazard for snowplows, and can prevent emergency service vehicles from reaching your home. The CPHA covenants prohibit roadside parking within the Village.
If you are planning a party or event at your home that will require guests to park alongside the roadway, you are required, per the CPHA Covenants, to submit a Special Event Parking Plan to Emergency Services for approval at least 72 hours in advance of the event.
You must clear your guests through the dwellingLIVE free app or call Emergency Services Dispatch for all guests and/or service personnel before arriving. Calling in advance allows them prompt access to your home. Access may be denied if you fail to clear your guest(s) in advance and the gate officer cannot contact you upon the guest’s arrival at the gate. Adherence to this system is important to maintain the security and safety of the Village.
Clear guests in advance to avoid long lines and delays at the gates for both guests and visitors. Please ensure your guests know your full name and address – this will enable the gate officer to quickly identify and locate your guest clearance permissions and get your guests through the gates faster. Residents, please note that all guests must have a valid driver’s license to access the Village.
The dwellingLIVE Access Control system allows residents to quickly and easily add guests and service providers that will be visiting their home, obtain Access Codes for visitors to enter through a gate after hours, and to update resident contact information – all from the convenience of your home computer or phone. Residents can still call CPES for guest access; however, using the dwellingLIVE website will eliminate waiting during peak periods when calling Dispatch.
The following options can be selected via the dwellingLIVE website, mobile app, or by calling CPES. Access Codes are required for entrance through a non-staffed gate or after hours.
If residents have a family member staying for an extended period of time they can ask the gate officers to print a scannable card to speed up the access from the Visitor lane.
The following clearance can ONLY be obtained by calling CPES.
Service providers that visit your home three or more times a week (such as a caregiver) may receive an RFID tag for their vehicle. This RFID tag will only be active for six months at a time and will only allow entry through the gate on the same side of the Village as the resident’s home. Access cards are not sold to non-residents. The resident must come into the office with the service provider to purchase an RFID tag; the service provider must bring their vehicle, vehicle registration, driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
All contractors, service providers, moving vans, and oversized delivery vehicles are allowed in the Village between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday. Such services are prohibited on Sundays and national holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Exceptions may be made for delivery of interior household items or interior work before 7:00 am and after 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday and Sunday, which does not create exterior noise or disruption upon approval of Emergency Services. Such services are prohibited on the recognized national holidays listed above. Exceptions will be made in emergency repairs (i.e. water leaks, electrical problems, loss of phone service, etc.) upon approval of Emergency Services.
